Frequently asked questions

Questions about the district: what it is, what is being built and how to get here. And about the directory: where the facts come from and how you update your business's page.

What is Hagastaden?

A new district built on the deck over the E4/E20 motorway and the Värtabanan railway, in both Stockholm and Solna. Residential blocks meet Karolinska University Hospital, Karolinska Institutet and one of Europe's largest life-science clusters.

Areas

What is being built in Hagastaden right now?

The green metro line is being extended from Odenplan towards Arenastaden with its own Hagastaden station, planned to open in 2028 – with entrances at Torsplan and Hagaplan. Norra Stationsparken is under construction, and further build-out is planned on the Solna side. The City of Stockholm's vaxer.stockholm has the details.

Where do I find housing in Hagastaden?

The Stockholm side's residential blocks are essentially complete, and new construction on the Solna side lies further ahead. The developers' and the city's own pages have the current picture.

What's on in the district?

The property owners' hagastaden.se tells the district's development story, and organisers publish their own calendars. This directory keeps track of the businesses: opening hours, menus and offers.

What is this website?

A directory of restaurants, cafés, shops and services in Hagastaden – at street level, in the hospital area and on campus – with opening hours, menus and lunches in one place.

Which area does the directory cover?

Hagastaden on both sides of the municipal border: Torsplan, Hagaesplanaden and the eastern stretch of Norra Stationsgatan in Stockholm, plus Hagaplan, the hospital area and the KI campus in Solna. Odenplan and western Vasastan are outside.

Where does the information come from?

Businesses that have claimed their page update it themselves. Other pages are filled from the businesses' own websites and the chains' store pages – never from guesses.

How do I claim my business page?

Create an account, go to your business page and click "Claim this page". Claims are reviewed manually, and once approved you can edit the page yourself.

What can I change as an owner?

Descriptions in Swedish and English, opening hours, contact details, menus, offers and photos – all through My page.

Why are the opening hours wrong?

Hours come from the businesses themselves or from the most recent public listings. Spotted an error? Claim the page and you can correct it directly.
